Alison Fleming

Alison has extensive executive experience in Chief Information Officer and Corporate service management roles in the public and tertiary education sectors. She has a strong understanding of what is required to deliver real business value through clear strategy and pragmatic governance. She has designed, sponsored, led and advised numerous governance groups and projects, as well as developing and implementing strategy in a variety of business, information and IT areas. Alison has a particular interest in how information and data, the lifeblood of organisations, can be harnessed to enable better policy outcomes, service delivery and process efficiency.

Throughout her work career Alison has seen the critical importance of careful listening and clear thinking – she applies both in delivering practical solutions for individual circumstances at strategic and operational levels. She enjoys supporting and advising busy executives as their ‘trusted critical friend’, allowing them to have confidence in the oversight of their business. Alison currently sits on Investment and Programme Boards as the independent member, and is an active Gateway reviewer in New Zealand and Australia.

Alison has a BSc and qualifications in management, ICT governance, MSP, Prince2, ILM and Agile project management. She stays up to date through professional activity as an Associate Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management, a Certified IT Professional, and a member of the Project Management Institute of NZ.

 Pam Madgwick

Pam brings a broad public sector work experience, collaborative working style and an innovative approach to infoRethink.  She is passionate about assisting others to do more than they thought they could – through effective leadership, the wise application of knowledge and information, and savvy business choices.

Having worked in Executive and Chief Information Officer roles in a range of agencies and sectors Pam understands what it takes to deliver in complex and challenging environments. She has worked closely with Ministers and their Offices, Chief Executives and senior leaders, providing advice, delivering services and leading change.

Pam believes that a strong focus on managing data and information and making this more widely available, and in better valuing the wealth of knowledge available to us, will provide new and sustainable benefits for government agencies and their customers.

Pam has a Bachelor of Music and a Diploma in Librarianship. She has a keen interest in keeping current and challenging her own thinking, and maintains a focus on her own continuing education and learning. She is an ANZSoG Fellow and a Certified IT Professional.
